ITINERARY  16 – 25  September 2017

DAY 1- 16 SEP, SAT
Participants arrive at Athens airport. Transfer to Hotel Aquamarina. Overnight.

DAY 2 – 17 SEP, SUN
Early departure from Athens for Delphi. En route visit Orchomenos (visits to monastery of Skripou, ancient theatre, Tholos tomb of Minyas) and Osios Loukas Monastery.Overnight Hotel Nidimos, Delphi.

DAY 3 – 18 SEP, MON
Full day visit to ancient Delphi site and museum. Optional visit to nearby picturesque Arachova for a stroll. Overnight Hotel Nidimos, Delphi.

DAY 4 – 19 SEP, TUE
Depart for Kalambaka. En route stop at Amfissa to visit early Christian baptistery then on to the Leonidas monument at the site of the battle of Thermopylai . Continue to Fanari (time permitting) to visit the Fortress then to Pyli to visit church at Porta Panagia include mosque at Trikala (time permmitting). Overnight Hotel Tsikeli, Kalambaka.

DAY 5 – 20 SEP, WED
Visit to some of Meteora monasteries. Overnight Hotel Tsikeli, Kalambaka.

DAY 6 – 21 SEP, THU
Depart for Arta. En route short visit Ioannina and ancient Dodona. Overnight Hotel Vyzantino, Arta.

DAY 7 – 22 SEP, FRI
Visits in Arta. Walls and theatre of ancient Ambracia, archaeological museum. Overnight Hotel Vyzantino, Arta.

DAY 8 – 23 SEP, SAT
Excursion to ancient Nikopolis and archaeological museum at Preveza. Overnight Hotel Vyzantino, Arta.

DAY 9 – 24 SEP, SUN
Visits to churches around Arta. Overnight Hotel Vyzantino, Arta.

DAY 10 – 25 SEP, MON
Transfer from Arta to Athens airport to connect with afternoon or evening flights home. En route a short visit to Nafpaktos (Lepanto).
